# Rate limits

## The limit

**600 requests a minute per workspace**, counted across every server that answers.

Each answer reports where you stand:

Header

Meaning

`RateLimit-Limit`

Requests allowed this minute (600).

`RateLimit-Remaining`

Requests left this minute.

`RateLimit-Reset`

Seconds until the window resets.

Over the limit: `429 rate_limited` with `Retry-After` (at least 1 second). Wait that long, then retry with the same `Idempotency-Key`.

## Other limits

- **Failed sign-ins:** 20 failed authentications from one address within a minute block that address for 15 minutes.
- **Onboarding sessions:** 5 an hour per address, plus a global per-minute ceiling.
- **Polling a session:** sooner than its `interval` is `429 slow_down`. The interval grows by 5 seconds, up to 60.

## Good habits

- Page with `limit` up to 200 instead of many small calls.
- Back off on `429`. Do not retry in a tight loop.
- Use [webhooks](/guides/webhooks/) instead of polling, once they are live.

## Creator data quotas

Creator data will have its own monthly ceilings, answered with `429 quota_exceeded`. **(Not live yet)**
